Portland, OR (May 28, 2026): David Weekley Homes, one of the nation's largest privately held home builders, is celebrating 10 years of home building in the Portland area. The company was founded in Houston, Texas, in 1976, and expanded to the Portland area in 2016. Today, David Weekley Homes builds in more than 15 communities across the greater Portland, Ore., and Vancouver, Wash., metro area.
"Celebrating 10 years in the Portland market is a milestone we're truly thankful for," said Steve Puls, division president of David Weekley Homes in Portland. Since opening in 2016, the company has closed more than 1,000 homes in the Portland market. David Weekley Homes currently has communities in several areas, including Scappoose, Portland, Forest Grove, Gresham, Hillsboro, Tigard and Banks, Ore., as well as Ridgefield and Vancouver, Wash.
In 2026, the company plans to open several new communities, including Buxton Park and Huser Estates in Scappoose, Powell Crest in Gresham, Sanderling Park in Ridgefield, and Sunset View in Banks.
