Employees Recognized at Annual Picnic

Fredericksburg, Texas - The City of Fredericksburg celebrated the milestone work anniversaries of 26 employees and handed out four awards at its annual staff picnic held Friday at Pioneer Pavilion and hosted by the Electric and Stormwater & Vegetation Management Departments.

Employees honored for five years of service, included Silvestre Castruita (Street), Adrian Flores (Street), Kevin Gallander (Landfill), Rebekka Vollmar (City Secretary Office), Rebecca Ortegon (Municipal Court), Wesley Rheinhardt (Police), Michael Rhodes (Street), Marsha Strickland (Parks), James Wayman (Police) and Travis West (Fire/EMS).

Five others were recognized for 10 years of work: Ryan Bohnert (Water), Garret Bonn (Assistant City Manager), Marco Gonzalez (Parks), Erik Hinterlach (Police) and Scott Stewart (Parks).

Meanwhile, Adonica Crenwelge (Utility Billing) Daryl Kott (Sanitation) and Tammie Loth (Human Resources) have been with the City for 20 years.

David Jung (Fire/EMS), Catherine Kuhlmann (Fire/EMS), Kelli Olfers (Health), Margie Rivera (Human Resources) and Lori Seewald (Fire/EMS) were celebrated for silver anniversaries with the City.

In Fire/EMS, Harvey Lansford was acknowledged for 30 years with the organization, while Dennis Durst (Water) and Terry Weed (Police) have 35 years of service.

After nominations and voting by all members of the organization, four employee were honored for individual awards, including Sean Doerre (Employee of the Year), Jennifer Krupa (Supervisor of the Year), Mary Gonzalez (Stephen Itz Award) and Daisy Schneider (Customer Service Award).
