Dr. Patsy Parker Named Interim Provost and VP for Academic Affairs

SWOSU is pleased to announce that Dr. Patsy Parker has been appointed Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective June 1, 2025.

Dr. Parker brings more than 20 years of service to SWOSU, having served in leadership roles such as Acting Vice President of Student Affairs, Associate Dean of the Dobson School of Business and Technology, and Department Chair of multiple academic programs. She also continues to teach in the College of Business and Technology.

President Lovell noted, "Dr. Parker's proven leadership and deep commitment to our university make her an excellent choice to guide Academic Affairs during this time of transition."

This appointment follows the announcement of Dr. Joel Kendall's upcoming transition to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Dr. Parker's leadership ensures a smooth and steady transition
