CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. July 27, 2026 - Pinnacle Financial Partners has added Ivan Brown as a community financial advisor in Chattanooga, strengthening the firm's commitment to serving nonprofit organizations, community partners and the people they serve across Southeast Tennessee.
Brown brings a background in commercial banking with a focus on commercial lending, community development and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives. He has worked with commercial real estate developers, builders, and business owners to provide financing solutions while also helping expand access to capital through affordable housing and economic development efforts.
Most recently, Brown served as vice president and relationship manager at Cadence Bank, where he managed a commercial real estate loan portfolio, underwrote development and construction loans and led commercial loan underwriting efforts. Previously, he served as an economic development banker, coordinating residential lending initiatives, developing affordable housing programs, and working with community partners to advance economic development projects throughout the Chattanooga region.
"Ivan has built his career by helping businesses grow while creating opportunities that strengthen the communities they serve," said Craig Holley, Southeast Tennessee chairman at Pinnacle. "His experience in commercial banking, community development and relationship management makes him a natural fit for the way we serve clients. He understands this market, values long-term relationships and shares our commitment to helping people achieve what's most important to them."
As community financial advisor, Brown will work closely with local businesses, nonprofit organizations, developers and community leaders to expand access to banking resources, strengthen community partnerships and support economic growth throughout the Chattanooga market.
"I'm looking forward to being part of a team that places such a strong emphasis on relationships and community impact," Brown said. "Pinnacle's approach aligns with the way I've built my career, and I'm eager to help businesses and organizations find solutions that support their long-term success."
Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Howard University. He has been recognized for his work in community reinvestment and economic development and serves on the boards of several Chattanooga-area nonprofit and business organizations.
