Ammonia is one of the most important chemicals in the world. It is the foundation of nitrogen-based fertilizers that help grow crops and in turn, help feed billions of people and supports global food security.

Processing ammonia requires large, highly complex industrial plants. The process behind these systems is energy-intensive and technically demanding, so bringing a new ammonia plant online is a carefully managed operation that typically takes weeks or longer to reach stable, full production. That is why start-up performance matters. Against this backdrop, KBR's latest milestone stands out.

Indorama, a KBR licensee, has achieved a new benchmark at their Train 3 plant, reaching production within just 10 days of feed in - making it the fastest ammonia plant startup ever recorded.

Building on this momentum, the project achieved 100% capacity within just days of operation. This rapid ramp-up highlights not just speed, but operational stability and efficiency from the outset. This achievement reflects the effective integration of cutting-edge technology, disciplined execution, and exceptional teamwork, reflecting the commitment and collaboration of all teams involved.

"This accomplishment highlights KBR's industry-leading ammonia technology performance and our commitment to strengthening global food security, ensuring more resilient and sustainable fertilizer supply," said Hari Ravindran, SVP and Global Head, KBR Technology Solutions. "Alongside our expanding partnership this achievement reinforces KBR's ability to deliver reliable solutions that create sustained value."

This milestone builds on a long-standing partnership with Indorama, a major fertilizer producer operating ammonia plants across multiple countries. Last year, KBR secured a 10-year catalyst supply contract covering Indorama's entire ammonia plant portfolio - marking KBR's first long-term catalyst agreement in the ammonia sector and further reinforcing its position as a leading global ammonia solutions provider.

Together, these developments reflect not only consistent execution excellence but also KBR's ability to deliver integrated, high-performance solutions that improve efficiency, reliability and long-term value in a market where demand continues to grow.

For over 75 years, KBR has been powering efficient and sustainable fertilizer production for customers worldwide by delivering ammonia technology, proprietary equipment, and catalysts across the world. As global demand for fertilizers and cleaner energy solutions rises, KBR's technologies are playing an increasingly important role in ensuring that ammonia production is faster, more efficient, and more sustainable than ever before.
