Monroe Street Library Closed for Repair

The Monroe Street Library (1705 Monroe Street) will be closed on Monday, August 11-Tuesday, August 12 due to a water main break. All Monroe Street Library events held on these two days will also be canceled.

Library customers may return items to the Monroe Street Library book drop, use the library remotely by using LINKcat to place holds, check library card records, or renew items. Library items may also be renewed by calling Telecirc (608-242-4700) or any open library. The library's databases and downloadable audiobooks and eBooks are also accessible 24/7 with a library card.

It is estimated that repair will take several days. Monroe Street Library users should check the library's website at madpl.org/monroe-street for updates on expected reopening.

All other Madison Public Library locations remain open regular hours.
