The General Assembly meets to elect members of the Human Rights Council.
It is also expected to decide to permit Bolivia and Sao Tome and Principe to vote in the General Assembly until the end of its eightieth session, under Article 19 of the UN Charter.
The Assembly will also take up a draft resolution containing the Awaza Political Declaration (document A/80/L.4), by which it would endorse that outcome document adopted by the third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held from 5 to 8 August.
And it is expected to decide to include in the agenda of its eightieth session the item entitled "Financing of the United Nations Support Office in Haiti".
