UPMC Magee-Womens in Central Pa. Welcomes First 2026 Baby

UPMC Magee-Womens facilities in central Pennsylvania joyfully welcomed its first New Year's babies of 2026.

Julia Rehrer, daughter of Jacey and Hunter Rehrer of Bainbridge, Pa., was the first baby born in the region, arriving at UPMC Lititz at 12:33 a.m. She weighs 3 lbs. 9 oz. and measuring 16.7 inches long.

In Harrisburg, Jett Ross, son of Brittany and Kyle Ross of Linglestown, Pa., made his debut at 3:43 a.m., weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz. and measuring 21.5 inches long.

UPMC Magee-Womens at UPMC Harrisburg, UPMC Carlisle, and UPMC Lititz were recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as 2026 High Performing Hospitals for Maternity Care-the highest award in its annual maternity care rankings. UPMC Carlisle also earned the Maternity Care Access Hospital designation for providing quality care in communities that would otherwise face maternity care deserts.
