Partnership with established Midwest provider expands platform's geographic footprint, expands OEM line card within the municipal water / wastewater industry
SEATTLE, Wash. - June 3, 2026 - Pike Street Capital, LLC ("Pike Street") portfolio company, Impel Company ("Impel"), announced a strategic investment in Haynes Equipment Company ("Haynes"), a provider of water and wastewater flow control equipment, systems, and services for municipalities, residential developments, and commercial applications based in Olathe, Kansas. The addition of Haynes strengthens Impel's presence in the Midwest while broadening the technical depth and supplier network of the combined organization.
Haynes has delivered clean water and wastewater solutions to municipal customers across Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Nebraska for 65 years - earning a strong reputation for technical expertise, responsive service, and dependable solutions built on long-standing partnerships with leading manufacturers. As part of Impel, Haynes broadens the platform's product line and capabilities, giving customers a more comprehensive resource for critical water and wastewater infrastructure.
"Haynes has spent 65 years building deep relationships with local municipalities and key manufacturers," said Doug Staab, CEO of Impel. "Their technical expertise and partnerships are a tremendous asset, and together we'll be able to deliver even greater value to our customers. We're thrilled to welcome them to the Impel family."
This partnership reflects Pike Street's strategy of pursuing add-on acquisitions that expand capabilities and strengthen customer value. Looking ahead, Pike Street plans to invest in expanding Haynes's shop service operations and continue building out the platform across the Midwest - through accretive M&A, talent development, and enhanced service infrastructure.
"This acquisition is an excellent addition and a clear reflection of the buy-and-build strategy we envisioned for Impel from the start," said Dave Dandel, Partner at Pike Street Capital. "In just a few years, Impel has grown from a single Pacific Northwest business into a scaled platform with dozens of locations serving customers nationwide. Haynes is exactly the kind of accretive acquisition that advances that strategy."
