Consul & Head of Post of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag Li Xiaoyan Meets with Study Group from the Tuguegarao University of Saint Louis

On May 29, 2026, Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan of Chinese Consulate in Laoag met with faculty and students from the Tuguegarao University of Saint Louis in Cagayan, who were about to embark on a study tour to Kunming, Yunnan.

Li encouraged them to make the most of this valuable opportunity to explore a real, multi-dimensional, and vibrant China, to experience first-hand the achievements of Chinese modernization, and to share what they see and learn in Yunnan with the people back in the Philippines. Li also briefed the group on the economic and social development of Yunnan Province, as well as the cityscape, cultural highlights, and historical anecdotes of Kunming City.

Nearly 70 faculty members and students from the Tuguegarao University of Saint Louis will travel to Yunnan, China in June for a two-week study program at Yunnan Open University.
