Spring Hydrant Flushing Season Scheduled to Begin Monday, April 7 2025

The Department of Public Works Water Division will begin the spring hydrant flushing season, Monday, April 7, 2025. Workers will be out servicing hydrants Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:30P 6:30P for the next 6-8 weeks.

Residents may experience reduced water pressure and water discoloration during and after flushing. This is typical and happens because iron and other mineral deposits in the water mains get stirred up, but running your faucets cold for a couple of minutes should resolve and the water will run clear.
