Today, ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas, HP Solutions announced expanded offerings designed to enhance reliability for maximum employee and IT productivity while helping companies contribute to supporting environmental sustainability. These new offerings include enhanced HP Support Services packages, a new HP Device Registration Service, and expansion of the HP Certified Refurbished PC portfolio.
IT is under immense pressure to deliver top-notch support and device maintenance. But the traditional approach of reactive diagnosis and remediation only adds to the frustration and costs associated with employee downtime. As organizations turn to trusted partners to help guide this shift toward more proactive issue remediation, HP is introducing AI-powered device health insights across its latest portfolio of Hardware Support Services.
These HP Support Service enhancements vary by package:
HP Essential Support: In addition to quality standard business day remote support,1 HP Essential will now include onsite device repair to help get PCs back up and running wherever hybrid work happens. Customers will be able to opt in or opt out of device health insights that help HP proactively identify, diagnose and remediate PC issues.2
HP Premium Support: In addition to 24x7 quality remote support and onsite repair with next business day response1, HP Premium Support will now include AI-powered device health insights for predictive detection of device issues, end-user pop-up alerts to proactively address potential issues, and automated ticketing for convenient scheduling of onsite repairs before business is disrupted.3
HP Premium+ Support: Includes all of the features of HP Premium Support, plus the addition of preferred access to parts and HP service experts for our fastest repair times.1, 3, 4, 5
These enhanced HP Support Service packages are available globally as a transactional attach to new devices or existing devices post-warranty, as well as part of a Managed Device Solution.
At CES, HP is also announcing HP Device Registration Service to help IT reduce the time spent on deploying, managing, and retiring devices. This service is particularly relevant with support for Windows 10 ending in October 2025. As organizations transition aging fleets to new fleets, HP can better support modern management customers.
HP Device Registration Service streamlines device registration in Intune, within 48 hours of the order shipping from the factory, providing:
Seamless device integration6: Devices registered in customers' preferred Modern Device Management platform as part of the manufacturing process, reducing second-touch configuration by IT.
Registration after shipment: Devices registered within 48 hours from order ship date so user profiles can be assigned before delivery.7
Automation and reporting: Automation to ensure fast and accurate registration of devices and dedicated reporting that provides enhanced monitoring, efficient data management, and secure access to registration data.
Intune settings: Ability to apply Autopilot user profiles and settings from Intune for simplified out-of-box experience.8
Tenants and Group Tags9: Supports one or multiple tenants, fixed or dynamic group tags.10
Option to combine services: Available as a standalone service, or the option to combine with other Configuration Services for pain-free device rollouts.11
In addition, HP is expanding the availability of HP Certified Refurbished PCs and adding more devices to its HP Renew Solutions portfolio. By expanding the HP Renew Solutions portfolio, HP is providing more options for customers to advance circularity goals while keeping employees productive with optimally performing devices.
The expanded HP Certified Refurbished PC portfolio will include:
HP EliteBook 830 G8 (US only)
HP EliteBook 840 G8
HP EliteBook 850 G8
HP EliteDesk Mini 800 G6
HP Certified Refurbished PCs are already available direct in the US and France, and will also be available in the UK, Spain, Sweden and the Netherland this April.
"Organizations are increasingly implementing circularity into business practices, driven by consumer preferences, customer commitments, and new government regulations," said Grant Hoffman, SVP Operations and Portfolio, HP Solutions. "As customers seek solutions to meet these needs, we're driving a broader mix of HP Certified Refurbished devices with availability across more countries to provide reliable solutions that meet both their performance and sustainability requirements from a trusted technology leader."
HP remains focused on preparing customers for the Future of Work so they can provide employees with exceptional experiences. Today's news showcases that commitment by helping keep the workforce both productive and engaged.
