REMINDER: Healthy Homes In-Person Registration Session: Monday, April 7

NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans today reminds all landlords of one- to three-unit rental properties operating in Orleans Parish to apply for the Healthy Homes Certificate of Compliance by May 1. Certification is required under the Healthy Homes Ordinance. To assist landlords ahead of the deadline, the next in-person Healthy Homes registration session will be held at the Milne Center (5420 Franklin Ave.) on Monday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional registration sessions will take place at various locations throughout the city.

The three remaining sessions are as follows:

  • Monday, April 7, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Milne Center (5420 Franklin Ave.)
  • Tuesday, April 15, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - New Orleans East Regional Library (5641 Read Blvd.)
  • Thursday, April 24, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Algiers Regional Library (3014 Holiday Drive)

The easiest and fastest way to apply is by completing the digital application via the OneStopApp, which is available 24/7. Instructions on how to apply for the Healthy Homes Certificate of Compliance can be found on the Healthy Homes webpage.

For those unable to access the OneStopApp, applicants may register in person at 1340 Poydras St., Suite 800, during normal business hours or at one of the scheduled registration sessions listed above.

The Healthy Homes Administration will also hold informational webinars on:

  • April 10, 2025, at 2 p.m.
  • April 24, 2025, at 10 a.m.

Important Deadlines & Fees

  • May 1, 2025: Final deadline to apply for the Healthy Homes Certificate of Compliance for one- to three-unit properties. Applications are free until May 1.
  • After May 1, 2025: A late application fee will apply.
  • August 15, 2024: Deadline for properties with four or more rental units has passed. Owners of four-plus unit properties who have not yet registered may still apply, but a late fee will be required.
