Governor Mike Dunleavy and First Lady Rose Dunleavy mourn the death of former state legislator Craig Johnson.

"Craig Johnson always stood for what was right and fought for sensible solutions in response to Alaska's challenges. I'm grateful to have called him a friend. Rose and I will be praying for comfort for Nancy and their family during this difficult time," said Governor Dunleavy.

Johnson began serving in the Alaska House of Representatives in 2007 and served for 10 consecutive years, then served another term during the 33rd Legislature in 2023-2024.

Governor Dunleavy will order flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Craig Johnson on a date to be determined in accordance with the family's wishes.
