Foreign Minister leads the diplomatic corps to attend a briefing and participate in activities at the Rajjaprabha Dam during the 2026 Study Visit to learn about the Royal Initiative Projects

On 19 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, led members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Thailand, together with their spouses, to attend a briefing and participate in activities at the Rajjaprabha Dam as part of the 2026 Study Visit to learn about the Royal Initiative Projects, as well as Thailand's potentials and national identity, in Surat Thani province on 19 - 21 February 2026.

The delegation was briefed via a video presentation on the operations of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) at the Rajjaprabha Dam, as well as on tourism promotion in Surat Thani province. This was followed by a boat tour of the dam, during which students from Suratthani Rajabhat University briefed the delegation on the history and significance of the dam, which contributes to the country's water management and regional development through renewable energy, namely hydropower, and serves as a key contributor to the stability of the electricity system in southern Thailand.
