To Commercial Lobster License Holders Purchasing 2025 Lobster Trap Tags:
The company that produces the tags for the Maine lobster industry (TydenBrooks) uses UPS for shipments of tags. DMR was recently advised that UPS will no longer deliver to PO Boxes.
Due to this change by UPS, for orders of 2025 tags that have already been submitted, DMR has amended the delivery information to the physical address provided by the license holder. If you have previously received tags at your PO Box, you will receive them at your physical address going forward.
If your license does not list a physical address, or lists a PO Box as your physical address, your tags will be delivered to DMR's Augusta office. When we receive them, we will contact you to make arrangements to receive your tags.
As always, we ask that you ensure the information you have provided to DMR's licensing system regarding your mailing and physical addresses remains accurate and up to date to ensure timely delivery of tags and other communications. You can make any necessary changes to your information by logging into your online LEEDS account or by contacting DMR's Licensing Division, who will be happy to assist you.
In general, you should expect to receive your tags no later than 5 weeks after your order is placed. If more than 5 weeks has gone by and you have not received your tags, PLEASE contact us so we can track the status of your tags and reorder if necessary to ensure that you have your tags and can get them in your traps prior to June 1.
You may email us at [email protected] or call us at 207-624-6550, Option 2 to update your physical address or check on the status tags that were ordered more than 5 weeks ago but have not been received.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your attention to this matter so that there is no delay in getting your tags.
Thank you,
Licensing Division
