Secretary-General of ASEAN to participate in the M360 ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
At the invitation of the Chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Bin Fateh Din, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will participate in the M360 ASEAN, co-hosted by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) and MCMC, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 10 September 2026. Along with Malaysia's Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil and Director General of GSMA Vivek Badrinath, Dr. Kao is scheduled to deliver the event's opening remarks by setting the strategic vision for ASEAN's digital future.
Following the opening ceremony, Dr. Kao is scheduled to meet with Malaysia's Minister of Communications and Director General of GSMA to exchange views on ASEAN digital transformation evolving landscape. M360 ASEAN will include discussions on tackling digital fragmentation, bring experts in digital services, AI and infrastructure together, and underscore the importance of partnership in the advancing ASEAN digital transformation.
