LSEG ranks Torys #1 in Canadian issuer debt for Q1 2026
LSEG has ranked Torys number 1 in All Canada Debt by number of deals in its Global Capital Markets-legal advisors table for the first quarter of 2026.
Notable deals completed in Q1 2026 include:
- CIBC in its US$700 million public offering of 6.500% limited recourse capital notes (non-viability contingent capital (NVCC), Series 9, due 2086, and related issuance of non-cumulative Class A shares, Series 64 as limited recourse trust assets
- Mini Mall in its C$650 million private placement offering, including C$350 million of 4.161% Series C senior unsecured debentures due 2028 and C$300 million of 5.034% Series D senior unsecured debentures due 2031
- Fairfax Financial in its C$650 million public offering of senior notes, including C$400 million of 4.40% senior notes due 2036 and a C$250 million re-opening of its 5.10% senior notes due 2055
