“STEAM Tulpar”: Mobile Laboratory Visits Villages in Burlin District

Aksai, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 20-23 October, 2026 - "Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V." (KPO) has implemented the "STEAM Tulpar" mobile educational programme in four rural settlements of Burlin District, West Kazakhstan Oblast: Priuralnoye, Zharsuat, Uspenovka and Zhanatalap.

The project is implemented by the "Caravan of Knowledge" corporate fund with financial support from "Chevron" Company.

As part of the programme, school students participated in practical sessions covering three key topics: "The Microworld Under the Microscope," "Water as a Vital Resource," and "Climate Change." Participants were introduced to laboratory equipment, conducted experiments and completed a series of research-based activities aimed to develop scientific thinking and practical skills.

This year, the programme's traditional format was expanded to include teacher training in the fundamentals of 3D modelling and the use of Bambu Lab A1 Combo 3D printers. The obtained knowledge and skills will help teachers to integrate modern technologies into the educational process and develop students' engineering skills.

Upon completion of the programme, each of the four schools received a Bambu Lab A1 Combo 3D printer as a donation. The new equipment will enable the schools to continue practical work in engineering and technology, use 3D printing for classroom and extracurricular activities, develop research and engineering projects, as well as prepare students to participate in competitions and contests.

The programme contributes to improving the quality of education in rural schools, developing students' research and technical competencies, and strengthening greater interest among children and young people in natural sciences, technology and engineering.
