Media Advisory: Explore, Connect, Discover - Take the Eastside Quest with Viva CalleSJ Sunday, April 19

Viva CalleSJ is an open streets program that brings communities together by temporarily closing streets to motor vehicles, creating space for walking, biking, skating, and other non-motorized activities at participants' own pace.

The "East Side Quest" route runs along White Road and Alum Rock Avenue, forming a goalpost-shaped pathway that connects some of East San José's most beloved destinations. Participants can chart their own adventure while discovering local art, culture, music, and family-friendly activities through interactive "side quests" along the way.

The April event launches a three-part 2026 series, with additional events scheduled for Sunday, June 14 and Sunday, September 13, each highlighting a different part of San José and its unique character.
