Apple Valley Animal Shelter to Host Fee-Waived Adoption Event on June 7

Apple Valley, CA - May 29, 2025 - The Apple Valley Animal Shelter will participate in California Adopt-a-Pet Day by hosting a fee-waived adoption event on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at its facility located at 22131 Powhatan Road.

During this one-day event, adoption fees will be waived for all animals in an effort to connect more pets with loving homes. The only cost to adopters will be a state-mandated spay/neuter deposit, which is refundable upon verification of the procedure.

All adoptable animals will be vaccinated and microchipped in accordance with shelter policy and best practices for animal welfare. Shelter staff will be available to assist prospective adopters in selecting pets that best match their household and lifestyle.
