North Lake Tahoe Construction Project Updates

PLACER COUNTY - Caltrans is advising motorists of various lane closures due to drainage and electrical work along State Route 28 (SR 28) in Placer County, in preparation for the $31.7 million Caltrans pavement project.
Work is scheduled at the following locations and times:
  • Along eastbound and westbound SR 28 Sunday, July 13 through Thursday, July 17 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. between Anderson Road and Deer Street.
  • Along eastbound and westbound SR 28 Monday, July 14 at 7 a.m. until Friday, July 18 at 3 p.m. between Mackinaw Road and Jackpine Street.
Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment or material availability, or other unexpected events.
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to "Be Work Zone Alert" and slow down in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
