Claflin University will partner with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) for an Instagram Story Takeover on Wednesday (Feb. 4) starting at 9 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.

Followers of the claflin1869 Instagram page are encouraged to engage throughout the day by viewing, reacting to, and sharing the featured Stories to increase visibility within Instagram's algorithm to reach a broader audience.
"SRNS launched the Instagram Story Takeover initiative to authentically connect with students by meeting them where they already are-on social media," said Anitra McManus, University Engagement Program Manager at SRNS. "The takeover allows our university partners to showcase their students, academic programs, and career readiness while highlighting real
pathways into internships and full-time roles at SRNS."
The Claflin University/SRNS Social Media Takeover will be highlighted by testimonials from a quartet of Claflin alumnae: Sydnee Harrison (Class of 2025/Business Administration), Natalia Johnson (2002/Biology), Amarionna Smith (Class of 2024/ Marketing), and Jayla Valentine (Class of 2025/Biology/Pre-Med).

"We've successfully implemented this approach with other university partners and saw strong engagement and positive visibility-reinforcing its value as an effective early-career and pipeline-building strategy," McManus said.

Tarshua Mack, assistant vice president for Title III Programs and Special Initiatives at Claflin University, reaffirmed Claflin University's critical role in developing the next generation of diverse, career-ready talent.

"Through strategic university engagement, experiential learning opportunities, and intentional pipeline development, the SRNS partnership helps bridge the gap between education and workforce readiness. It is a collaboration that creates pathways for students to gain real-world experience and build professional networks," Mack said.
