Penn State Altoona professor offers one-day course for Osher Institute

Brian Black, distinguished professor of history and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona, was recently invited to teach a one-day course at Penn State's Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning (OLLI) at University Park.

ALTOONA, Pa. - Brian Black, distinguished professor of history and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona, was recently invited to teach a one-day course at Penn State's Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning (OLLI) at University Park.

Black's session focused on his most recent book, "Ike's Road Trip," and the subject of energy transitions. The hybrid event attracted over 30 participants from all over the region. Black is a distinguished professor of history and environmental studies.

Run by Penn State Outreach, OLLI offers community members aged 50 and older the opportunity to learn, explore, and connect through education and social enrichment.
