DENVER - Yesterday the Colorado Democratic Party announced the launch of "Con or Marx-ism?", a game to remind Colorado voters just how extreme Republican nominee Victor Marx is and spotlight the top Marx-isms. CDP will cite and reveal the context of each real Marx-ism every day in the lead-up to Election Day so voters can see just how reckless and unfit Victor Marx is to lead Colorado.
Day 2 Marx-ism: "I believe I'm more like Trump."
While running for the GOP nomination Republican Marx openly said he's "more like Trump" than other Republican candidates, while running for governor in a state that Trump has lost in every general election he's ever run in - mostly by double digits.
During the primary, Marx appeared on a conservative-leaning radio show, where a co-host gave him the opportunity to refute some of the "allegations" about himself - for example, that he used his ministry to enrich himself and his family.
Marx said because he was more like Donald Trump, he could outrun his scandals by never addressing them:
"Yeah. Well, I think the first problem with the premise is you align me uh with the wrong candidate. I believe I'm more like Trump than Cruz. And his approach wasn't to chase down everything. Uh I've never said I won't address allegations, but publicly I've just not decided to spend a lot of time doing that."
Since Marx brings no relevant experience to this campaign, he's run his extremist MAGA campaign on his personal story, which is full of untruths, misdirection and apparent corruption.
