Time is running out to recognize the people and places that help make Southfield a beautiful place to live, work, and visit. The City of Southfield is accepting nominations for the 2026 Community Pride Awards, but nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The annual Community Pride Awards program honors residents, neighborhoods, businesses, organizations, and places of worship that go above and beyond to enhance the appearance and beauty of the community through landscaping, maintenance, gardening, and beautification efforts.
Awards will be presented in a variety of categories, including:
Whether it is a colorful flower garden, a beautifully landscaped business, a welcoming neighborhood entrance, or a property that consistently demonstrates pride of ownership, these efforts help strengthen Southfield's sense of community and curb appeal.
Residents are encouraged to nominate deserving properties throughout the city. Self-nominations are welcome, and there is no limit to the number of nominations that may be submitted. A separate nomination form is required for each property.
A team of judges will visit nominated properties in mid-July to evaluate entries and select this year's winners. Honorees will be recognized by the Mayor and City Council during a special awards ceremony in September.
The Community Pride Awards are coordinated by the City of Southfield Community Relations Department in partnership with the Southfield Parks and Garden Club and supported by the City's Total Living Commission.
Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
