On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated in the Berlin Process foreign ministers' conference, held in Berlin, with representatives from the EU member states and the Western Balkans. The conference discussed the achievements and progress made in bringing the countries of the region closer to the EU, focusing on the rule of law, democracy, regional cooperation, and maintaining good neighbourly relations among the countries in the region.

Grlić Radman praised the Berlin Process as a success, emphasizing the importance of all Western Balkan countries aspiring to become EU members. He highlighted that the Berlin Process helps them achieve this goal, especially when it comes to meeting the criteria for EU membership. "I believe that over these ten years of the Berlin Process, significant progress has been made despite the crises affecting not only the Western Balkans but the whole world," said the minister ahead of the conference.

The tenth anniversary summit of the Berlin Process will take place on October 14 this year in Berlin. Today's foreign ministers' conference is one of the preparatory meetings for the Western Balkan countries within the Berlin Process. The Berlin Process was launched ten years ago to bring the Western Balkan countries closer to the EU, initiated by Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Austria. Croatia has been involved in this process from the very beginning.
