Egypt Reaffirms Support for Morocco’s Territorial Integrity, Latest Security Council…

The Arab Republic of Egypt reaffirmed on Monday in Cairo its support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as for the latest Security Council resolution and a consensual political solution.

This resolution emphasizes that genuine autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty is the most feasible solution for resolving the Moroccan Sahara issue.

This stance, expressed in the minutes of the first session of the Morocco-Egypt Coordination and Follow-up Committee, held under the chairmanship of Morocco's Head of Government Mr. Aziz Akhannouch and Egyptian Prime Minister Mr. Mostafa Madbouly, reiterates Cairo's support for the current UN roadmap, which places the Moroccan autonomy initiative at the heart of the resolution process.
