The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Curaçao, Sithree van Heydoorn, at the launch of the Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) Report, announced this to be a key milestone in Curaçao's digital transformation.
This report, developed in collaboration with the UNESCO Office for the Caribbean and other stakeholders, evaluates Curaçao's readiness for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and provides policy recommendations to integrate AI into education, innovation, and workforce development.
In his remarks, Minister van Heydoorn emphasized that AI is already transforming societies, and Curaçao must harness its potential for empowerment and inclusion. He highlighted AI as a key driver of an inclusive, knowledge-based economy and called on academia, government, industry, and civil society to work together to turn the report's recommendations into tangible outcomes.
The Minister also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the implementation of the report's findings, ensuring the country is not only a consumer of AI but also a contributor to global knowledge and innovation.
