Secretary Diego Morales Reminds Candidates of
January 21st Campaign Finance Reporting Deadline
INDIANAPOLIS (January 15, 2026) - Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales is reminding Indiana candidates and political committees that the next campaign finance reporting deadline is less than a week away, on Wednesday, January 21st. Filings are due at noon.
Indiana law requires candidates and campaign committees to periodically disclose contribution and expense details. Required campaign finance reports must be filed on time to remain in compliance with Indiana election law. Late or incomplete filings are subject to fines.
Campaign finance reports for statewide and legislative office candidates and committees must be submitted online. Campaign finance reports for judicial offices, prosecuting attorneys and local offices must be filed with corresponding county election offices.
Public access to campaign contribution and expense reports is available at the following searchable, website: https://campaignfinance.in.gov/PublicSite/Homepage.aspx.
"Transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining trust in our elections. With the deadline less than a week away, I encourage all candidates and committees to review their requirements now and file early to avoid last-minute issues," said Diego Morales, Indiana Secretary of State.
A free publication with detailed campaign finance report filing instructions is available at: https://www.in.gov/sos/elections/files/2026-Campaign-Finance-Manual.FINAL.11-12-25.pdf. Candidates and committees may also visit https://www.in.gov/sos/elections/
