Meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Uzbekistan
On October 11, 2024, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation Konstantin Obolensky.
An exchange of views took place on the current situation in Afghanistan and the efforts of the international community to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country.
K. Obolensky highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan, as well as continuing provision of humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
K. Obolensky noted the important role of Uzbekistan in ensuring regional stability and security. He expressed hope for the continuation of fruitful cooperation in the future.
