Keepin’ It 100 on the Corporate Equality Index

As a company deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace for all, I'm proud to share that we have earned a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the fifth year in a row. The CEI is the nation's foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

Achieving a 100 on the CEI is no small feat. It means that we have met or exceeded HRC's rigorous criteria in areas such as non-discrimination policies, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ employees, and inclusive corporate culture. This score validates the hard work we put into creating an environment where everyone-regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity-feels valued, supported, and empowered.

This achievement is not just a number to us; it represents a deeper commitment to our people. It reflects the countless conversations, policies, and initiatives our teams have implemented over the years to ensure that every team member can bring their whole selves to work.

  • This year, Lam proudly became a founding sponsor of Semiconductor PRIDE, a coalition of companies organized by the SEMI Foundation, committed to championing inclusion and diversity (I&D) within Lam and across the industry.
  • We also expanded our employee demographic data collection to include an LGBTQ+ feature to help us tailor our I&D initiatives and address existing gaps in our program.
  • Finally, we made it easier for employees to access benefits by creating a dedicated benefits page for the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to this recognition from the HRC, we are proud to share that our company received several other diversity and inclusion honors in 2024, including Forbes' Americas Best Employers for Diversity, Woman Engineer Magazine's Top 50 Employers, and Forbes' Top Performers on Paid Parental Leave.

While we are proud of these milestones, we know this work is an ongoing journey. We plan to continue listening, learning, and evolving to meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
