CENTIER BANK SUPPORTS PORTER COUNTY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY WITH $15,000 DONATION

VALPARAISO, IND. (July 31, 2026) - Centier Bank, Indiana's largest private, family-owned and operated bank, is committed to supporting the communities it serves and understands that many local families in Porter County experience food insecurity. In an effort to benefit local residents facing this challenge, Centier Bank is donating $15,000 to the Porter County Agricultural Society.

Through Centier's donation, the Porter County Agricultural Society will utilize the funds to purchase market hogs, and potentially steers, through the 4-H Livestock Auction. These animals will then be processed into more than 10,000 pounds of usable meat and donated to local Porter County food pantries, providing essential protein, which is often one of the most needed and costly food items for families.

"Centier has always strived to do its part to support the communities we serve, and we know that food insecurity is a very real thing here in Porter County," said Chris Campbell, President of Centier Bank. "We love that Centier's donation will not only help combat our area's food insecurity, but it will also support our local 4-H youth by purchasing animals exhibited through the livestock auction, while also keeping the donated meat within Porter County to benefit local residents."

The funds donated by Centier Bank will also help to strengthen the connection between local agriculture, youth development, and hunger relief efforts through the Porter County Agricultural Society. These efforts of the Porter County Agricultural Society directly align with Centier's long-standing Servant-Heart culture that aims to enrich the lives of those in the communities it serves.

The check presentation for this year's donation took place yesterday, July 30, at the Porter County Fairgrounds. In total, Centier Bank has contributed nearly $35,000 to the Porter County Agricultural Society over the past three years.
