FORT WORTH, Texas (Oct. 19, 2026) - Harvest Returns, the Fort Worth-based online marketplace for agriculture investing, celebrates its 10th anniversary today. Military veterans Chris Rawley and Austin Maness founded the company in 2016, and it has since grown from a local startup into a nationwide platform that connects investors with farms, ranches, and agribusinesses seeking capital.
Since its founding, Harvest Returns has helped more than 50 farms, ranches and agribusinesses raise more than $41 million, while distributing nearly $18 million to investors. The company's investments have created hundreds of new jobs across the country while sustainably producing more than 4,000 tons of food and agricultural products. Its investors have helped finance roughly 10,000 head of cattle for American ranchers. Other portfolio companies have introduced a range of new technology to the food system, including biological pest control, in-field soil monitoring, feedlot sensors, and rapid food-chilling equipment.
Through its online platform, Harvest Returns bridges the gap between agricultural operators who need financing and investors who want to diversify into alternative assets. Agriculture has changed a great deal over the past decade, and operators continue to need flexible capital to grow. Harvest Returns has met that need by giving investors visibility into opportunities across the sector and by building lasting relationships on both sides of each deal.
"When we started Harvest Returns, investing in agriculture usually meant knowing the right family or the right banker. Over 10 years, we've opened that door to thousands of investors and connected them with operators who needed capital to grow. The sense of mission we carried out of the military still drives the company, and we see the biggest opportunities ahead in deploying capital into innovative companies helping create positive change in agriculture," said Chris Rawley, founder and CEO of Harvest Returns. With a decade-long track record, Harvest Returns plans to build on its accomplishments and keep serving investors and agricultural businesses in the years ahead.
