Rep. Fallon Appointed Chairman of Military Personnel Subcommittee

Washington, DC -- Upon his appointment as chairman of the Military Personnel Subcommittee, under the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Pat Fallon (TX-04) commented:

"I am honored that chairman Mike Rogers of the House Armed Services Committee has appointed me as chairman of the Subcommittee on Military Personnel. As chairman, my top priority is ensuring that our military is fully prepared to meet the growing threats facing our nation."

"With 77 percent of young adults unqualified to serve and multiple branches falling short of their recruitment goals, we face a critical challenge. Our focus must be on revitalizing our most valuable resource-our people," said Rep. Fallon. "This includes realigning our force structure to better match national security needs, improving recruitment by streamlining entry processes and expanding pathways for both military and civilian roles, and addressing retention by enhancing quality of life, compensation, and career development opportunities."

Rep. Fallon continued, "We must also prioritize the smooth transition of service members and their families into civilian life or the defense industrial base. My approach will be data-driven and results-oriented, aiming not just to meet goals, but to ensure our military is both ready and sustainable in the long term. Only by investing in our personnel will we maintain the lethality and effectiveness necessary to meet future challenges and defend our nation. I look forward to working to achieve these critical objectives."
