On 17 March 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), attended the 1/2026 Executive Board Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) at the APCD Center in Bangkok, presided by Mr. Tej Bunnag, Chairman of the APCD Foundation. The meeting acknowledged satisfactory progress in empowering persons with disabilities through Disability-Inclusive Business (DIB) models and various cooperation projects with international partners and United Nations agencies.

Afterwards, the TICA Director-General met with Mr. Piroon Laismit, Executive Director of APCD, to discuss ways to further expand cooperation for disability development in the Asia-Pacific region to ensure continuity and sustainability. Mr. Piroon expressed his gratitude to TICA for its long-standing support in terms of funding and activities. He also highlighted TICA's vital role as a coordinator connecting APCD with other international development organizations, such as those in Türkiye and Japan, to elevate the quality of life for persons with disabilities on a global scale.

TICA has consistently implemented bilateral and trilateral cooperation projects with APCD to enhance education and capacity building for persons with disabilities. Recent milestones include the "Training of Trainers" program for Mongolian teachers on Inclusive Education, as well as the Third Country Training Program (TCTP) on Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DiDRR). The latter was jointly organized by TICA and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with the aim of expanding expertise across the ASEAN region, and another course on Enhancing Disability-Inclusive Employment and Business (DIEB) in the Asia and Pacific Region will be continued for the next three years.
