Social security institutions from across Latin America gathered in Argentina for a workshop on how to enhance organizational resilience through preparedness and agility.

The workshop attracted over 40 participants from 18 member institutions of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in nine Latin American countries. It was hosted in Buenos Aires from 25 to 27 March 2025, by the National Social Security Administration (Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social - ANSES). The ISSA Guidelines on Continuity and Resilience of Social Security Services and Systems, served as a basis for the discussions.

The focus of the workshop was on developing institutional resilience through capacity building for business continuity and responsiveness in times of crisis. It looked at enhancing practical skills through exercises centred on real-world application, helping participants conceptualize their own capacity and develop continuity plans while remaining flexible and adaptable. Additionally, the workshop fostered collaboration by providing networking opportunities and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences across the region.
