Bank of America Honors 25th Anniversary of 9/11 with Expanded Support for First Responders, Veterans and Communities

NEW YORK, N.Y.New York - Bank of America today announced a $250,000two hundred fifty thousand dollar commitment to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, building on more than $160 millionone hundred sixty million dollars in support for first responders, veterans and military service members over the past 15 years as the nation prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Beyond the new Tunnel to Towers partnership, Bank of America is expanding its support for organizations that preserve the history and legacy of September 11, including a $1 millionone million dollar commitment to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and funding for the National 9/11nine eleven Pentagon Memorial. The company is also supporting remembrance and service through 9/11nine eleven Day, New York-based first responder organizations and employee volunteer opportunities across the country.

Bank of America is providing two hundred fifty thousand dollars$250,000 to Tunnel to Towers Foundation to support new Veteran Villages offering housing and related services for veterans. The Veteran Villages are planned in 14 markets, including Buffalo, Charlotte, Detroit, Las Vegas, Long Island and New Jersey.

Bank employees will also participate in volunteer projects to assemble 3,000 "Welcome Home" care packages for individuals supported by Tunnel to Towers. Activities are planned in New York City; Washington, D CD.C.; Boston; Long Island; and New Jersey, in addition to the markets where the Veteran Villages will be developed.
