Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Sun Linjiang Attends Azerbaijan’s Independence Day Reception

On May 25, 2026, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Sun Linjiang, upon invitation, attended the Azerbaijan's Independence Day reception, and met with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China Bunyad Huseynov.

Sun Linjiang stated that under the strategic planning and guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Ilham Aliyev, China-Azerbaijan relations have grown rapidly, with fruitful outcomes in various areas of cooperation. China stands ready to work with Azerbaijan to follow the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state as the fundamental guidance, and strive for new achievements in the development of China-Azerbaijan relations.

Bunyad Huseynov noted that the friendship and mutual trust between the presidents of Azerbaijan and China serve as a solid foundation for the growth of bilateral relations. Azerbaijan is ready to further deepen the Belt and Road cooperation with China and deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
