Water main break on 4th Avenue prompts lane closure and temporary outages
The City of Yuma is experiencing a leak due to a water main break in the vicinity of 26th Street and 4th Avenue, affecting traffic and some water service.
Motorists should be aware that the right southbound lane of 4th Avenue is currently closed from the approach to the McDonald's driveway to approximately one-half block south of 26th Street. The intersection of 26th Street and 4th Avenue is closed on the west side to allow construction equipment to make repairs
Additionally, some businesses along the west side of 4th Avenue between 26th Street and 28th Street are experiencing water service outages. This will not affect McDonald's or the Yuma Senior Living retirement community.
The City anticipates repairs to be complete later this afternoon.
