The University of Toledo continues to monitor the overnight hazardous materials incident in North Toledo.

There is no known impact to UToledo campuses. UToledo Public Safety is receiving updates from city and county officials as the situation develops, and classes and operations at all campuses remain unchanged.

Students who are unable to attend class because of the incident should contact their instructors. Faculty are encouraged to provide flexibility for students affected by evacuation orders or shelter-in-place restrictions. Affected employees should notify their supervisors.

The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and patients is our top priority. Should conditions change, the University will share information immediately through UToledo Alert, email and utoledo.edu/alert.

Updated information is also available at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department website.
