Strategic Alignment of European Innovation Hubs

This Double Degree programme facilitates a direct academic and professional pipeline between two of Europe's premier technology ecosystems. By combining TU/e's "Engineering Thinking" with TalTech's "Digital Frontrunner" expertise, the curriculum addresses the growing demand for specialists capable of deploying artificial intelligence within complex software architectures. The collaboration serves as a benchmark for European academic integration, standardizing best practices across different technological cultures.

The Program will support student mobility between TU/e, Department of Mathematics & Computer Science and TalTech School of Information Technologies. Partnering with TalTech gives TU/e privileged access to:

  • Estonia's advanced digital society (e-Estonia)
  • Leading expertise in cybersecurity, digital governance, and AI
  • A vibrant tech ecosystem with one of the highest startup densities in Europe

Curriculum Focus: Responsible Innovation

The programme prioritizes the development of professional ethics alongside technical proficiency. Students are empowered to design personalized learning paths-specializing in areas from Large Language Models (LLMs) to autonomous systems-while maintaining a rigorous focus on the security, reliability, and social impact of their software and system.

The first cohort of students of TalTech starts academic year 2026-2027, the first cohort at TU/e starts 2027-2028.
