Pavement resurfacing scheduled for portion of Rock Quarry Road, Oct. 27-Nov. 7
(COLUMBIA, MO)- Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, crews with Capital Paving, contractors for the City of Columbia Public Works department, will begin a mill and overlay resurfacing project on Rock Quarry Road south of East Stadium Boulevard.
The project area will extend from the start of the City maintenance section just south of East Stadium Boulevard approximately 2,000 feet to the south. This work will help extend the life of the roadway and improve overall ride quality.
Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, though temporary lane closures will be required. Traffic control signs and flaggers will guide drivers through the work zone as needed.
Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution in the area and consider alternate routes. Work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, weather permitting.
