Ikumi Yamazaki of the Shimadzu Corporation tennis team, the SHIMADZU Breakers, won the women's doubles at the Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions The 100th All Japan Tennis Championships Supported by Hashimoto Sogyo Holdings (Ariake Tennis Park) together with her partner Momoko Kobori (Hashimoto Sogyo Holdings). The top-seeded Yamazaki-Kobori pair claimed victory in the final held on October 12, defeating the team of Misaki Matsuda (AIM Services) and Sakura Hosogi (Harasho) by 6-1, 7-6 (5). This marks Yamazaki's first-ever championship title at the All Japan Tennis Championships. Among Shimadzu players, Akiko Omae (then representing Shimadzu) had won the doubles title in 2016, 2021, and 2022.

Yamazaki commented, "I am truly delighted to have won the doubles title at this milestone 100th tournament! Although I suffered a disappointing loss in singles, my partner Kobori supported me, and together we overcame tough moments and grew with each match. Winning this title has given me confidence, and next year I aim to claim a singles title and compete in a Grand Slam tournament."

Yamazaki joined SHIMADZU Breakers in 2024 and won the championship representing Shiga Prefecture at the WataSHIGA Kagayaku National Sports and Parasports Festival 2025 held in September this year. She also contributes to activities such as the Tennis Japan League, which determines Japan's top corporate team, and to community events for local children.
