CSX Transportation closing railroad crossings in East Bank, Chelyan, and St. Albans
CSX Transportation is closing railroad crossings in East Bank, Chelyan, and St. Albans in the next two weeks to replace railroad ties and repave the crossings.
Crossings at Walnut Street in East Bank and James River Road in Chelyan were closed on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Both crossings are expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2025.
The crossing at Vintroux Road in St. Albans is scheduled to close at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The crossing is expected to reopen by 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
