NCGOP Statement on the One Year Anniversary of the Attempted Assassination of President Donald J. Trump
One year ago today, America saw an attempt to end President Trump's life at his rally in Butler, Pa. Only through the grace of God did President Trump survive a gunshot and continue to fight for the American people, winning the 2024 Election and being inaugurated as our 47th President.
On this day, we remember the life of Pennsylvania firefighter Corey Comperatore - the heroic husband and father who lost his life protecting his family. We are incredibly grateful for President Trump's survival and more committed than ever to making America great again: by working every day with our fellow citizens who embody the unwavering faith and values we believe as a nation.
