We would like to once again express our deepest gratitude and sympathy to all those who are working hard to prevent the spread of infections during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to this situation, we manufactured face shields utilizing HIMILAN™ resin and donated a total of 7,000, albeit a small amount, to local governments, medical institutions, schools and other organizations.
A total of 7,000 HIMILAN™ resin face shields were donated to the following eight recipient organizations.

HIMILAN™ is an ionomer resin manufactured and sold by Dow-Mitsui Polychemicals based on technology from the Dow Chemical Company of the United States.
It is an ionomer made by cross-linking the molecules of ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer with metal ions, and has excellent transparency, toughness, abrasion resistance, oil resistance, and other properties.
Dow-Mitsui Polychemicals began manufacturing and selling ionomer resins under license from 1978 and has developed them under the HIMILAN™ brand.
