Baker McKenzie Promotes Johanna Moesch to Partner in Switzerland

Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie today announced that Johanna Moesch has been promoted to partner in Zurich effective 1 July 2026. Recognized for her expertise in Data & Cyber, IT, Telecoms and Technology, her promotion reinforces Baker McKenzie Switzerland's leading position in these key areas. In addition, the Firm announced the promotion of 47 lawyers to partner1 globally, effective 1 July 2026 (with the exception of some locations in the Americas (including North America), where promo-tions took effect earlier this year).


Partnership Expansion in Switzerland
In her new role, Johanna Moesch will continue to expand her practice and play a key role in further developing the Firm's capabilities in the areas of Data & Cyber, IT, Telecoms and Technology, as part of Baker McKenzie's globally connected team advising on cross-border matters.

Johanna advises Swiss and international companies on complex technology and data-driven matters, with a focus on artificial intelligence, data protection, telecommunications regulation, cybersecurity, and IT and cloud contracts. Her practice includes highly regulated projects involving AI technologies, cross-border data transfers, cloud outsourcing and cybersecurity incident response, particularly for clients in the technology, financial services, and consumer goods sectors.

New Counsels in Switzerland
In addition to Johanna Moesch's promotion to partner, Baker McKenzie Switzerland has also promoted Dr. Tatiana Ayranova and Charlotte Sophie Rüegg to counsel, further strengthening the Firm's Swiss legal talent across key practice areas.

Tatiana has been promoted to counsel in Baker McKenzie's Banking & Finance and Financial Services teams in Geneva. She has extensive experience advising financial institutions and borrowers on a broad range of finance transactions, as well as on regulatory matters. Her practice also covers securit-isations. Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, Tatiana worked at a leading Swiss law firm and was second-ed to the legal team of a Geneva-based bank.

Charlotte has been promoted to counsel in Baker McKenzie's Banking & Finance and Capital Markets teams in Zurich. She advises financial institutions, corporates and sponsors on a broad range of finance transactions, including syndicated, acquisition, project and real estate financing as well as bond offerings and other securities transactions. Charlotte has extensive experience leading teams on com-plex cross-border matters.

Partner promotions across global offices
This year's global partner promotions reflect the Firm's continued investment in talent and its strategic focus on building the capabilities needed to advise multinational clients on their most complex, cross-border matters. Alongside 44 global lateral partner hires during financial year 2026, Baker McKenzie has welcomed a total of 91 new partners globally, further strengthening its ability to deliver a seamless client experience across markets.

The Firm's global Transactional practice saw the largest number of promotions this year, with Dispute Resolution, Commercial and Tax welcoming the second and joint third largest number of promoted partners. Women represent 43% of this year's partner promotions.
