Albertsons Cos. Foundation Launches Fundraising Campaign to Support Central Texas Flood Relief

The Albertsons Cos. Foundation announces a fundraising campaign in our Southern and United Family divisions to support the communities impacted by the catastrophic flooding in Central Texas earlier this month. Available now, customers can donate directly at the pin pad during checkout at any Albertsons, Albertsons Market, Amigos, Market Street, Randalls, Safeway, Tom Thumb, and United Supermarkets across Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana. Additionally, each division has donated $10,000, for a total of $20,000, plus in-kind donations of water and shelf-stable food.

All proceeds from the fundraising campaign will support relief efforts by organizations including the San Angelo Area Foundation, the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

"Our thoughts and prayers remain with our fellow Texans who these floods have impacted, especially the families who have lost loved ones," said Sidney Hopper, President of the United Division. "Words cannot adequately describe the devastation we are seeing from this event. We are grateful to be part of an organization that can so quickly mobilize and unite to help our neighbors in need. We are proud to join with the Southern Division to make a difference."

The campaign will run for various lengths of time depending on location. Customers can ask associates at their local store for more details.
