At about 7:21 PM, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 73 Ridgewood Street, Dorchester on a report of a person shot. On arrival, officers located Kareem Daveiga-Booth, 20, of Brighton, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced.
The Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
